PRODUCT MANAGEMENT OVERVIEW
Product Marketing Management includes two areas, in chronological order: product management (product lifecycle), and product marketing (sales support). Small companies combine these functions; larger companies leverage them independently for optimal results.

Product Management – A High-Level Overview
A key requirement for any product- or service-producing company is a proper product management process, usually referred to as a product lifecycle or PLC. A properly designed PLC has a gating process at each phase of that lifecycle. This is also known as a checkpoint process.
